JAYE is looking for a beauty & health director with strong beauty copywriting skills
and a blogging background. Ideal candidate is interested in all things beauty—from
runway news to affordable drug-store products to celebrity makeup trends—is a
creative thinker, and can juggle multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines. If
you’re a team player, with a demonstrated ability to generate ideas that resonate
with college-aged women and looking for valuable experience at a publication on
the rise, this position is for you. If interested, please be willing to commit to at least
six months in the position.
Responsibilities include:
Conceive, write and edit monthly front-of-book beauty news and trend pages
Identify trends and turn them into engaging beauty service articles
Lead and communicate with a team of two beauty editors to create a cohesively diverse beauty and health feature well each month
Recruit and retain freelance contributors for feature-length pieces on beauty and health news and trends
Maintain pulse on beauty and health industries by reading blogs and other sources of information to ensure the content in the magazine is current and topical
